A group of us from the EEG visited the London office of the EES to see their archives.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/10\/freemasonry-and-ancient-egypt-cathie-bryan-eeg-talk\">&#8220;Freemasonry and Ancient Egypt&#8221; Cathie Bryan<\/a>. Michael Scott looks at the development of drama in Ancient Greece.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/04\/weeks-tv-including-dogs-shakespeare-evolutionary-vertebrates-greek-drama-jewish\">David Attenborough&#8217;s Rise of the Animals: Triumph of the Vertebrates<\/a>.  David Attenborough shows us how the vertebrates evolved from little worms to the diversity of today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/11\/weeks-tv-including-dogs-evolution-mammals-greek-drama-indian-railways-roman-britain\">A Hundred Years of Us<\/a>.  Aired to coincide with the 2011 census this is a look at how British culture has changed over the last hundred years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/11\/weeks-tv-including-dogs-evolution-mammals-greek-drama-indian-railways-roman-britain\">John Sergeant on Tracks of Empire<\/a>.  John Sergeant travels across India on the railway, looking at the history of India, the British Empire and the railways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/25\/tv-including-greeks-indian-railways-sweets-ottomans-neolithic-britons-and-20th\">Nigel Slater: Life is Sweets<\/a>.  A combination of a history &#038; survey of British sweets with some autobiographical reminiscences from Nigel Slater.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/25\/tv-including-greeks-indian-railways-sweets-ottomans-neolithic-britons-and-20th\">The Ottomans: Europe&#8217;s Muslim Emperors<\/a>.  Series about the history of the Ottoman Empire presented by Rageh Omaar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/04\/weeks-tv-including-dogs-shakespeare-evolutionary-vertebrates-greek-drama-jewish\">Shakespeare in Italy<\/a>.  Francesco da Mosto talking about Shakespeare&#8217;s plays that&#8217;re set in Italy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/09\/06\/weeks-tv-including-tigers-jewish-history-indian-ocean-king-alfred\">The Story of the Jews<\/a>.  Series presented by Simon Schama about the history of the Jews.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/10\/11\/weeks-tv-including-dogs-evolution-mammals-greek-drama-indian-railways-roman-britain\">Stories of the Dark Earth: Meet the Ancestors Revisted<\/a>.  Julian Richards returns to digs that were originally filmed for Meet the Ancestors more than a decade ago &#038; sees what new things have been learnt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ninecats.org\/margaret\/blog\/2013\/09\/27\/weeks-tv-including-anglo-saxons-jewish-history-dogs-a303\">The Wonder of Dogs<\/a>.
