Not much done on the garden in the last couple of weeks, it felt like when I wasn’t busy it was raining. I did pull out handfuls of bindweed every morning tho, the stuff keeps sprouting. I did have a chance to dig over part of the bed I’ve cleared the plants out of. It’s got another vine thing sprouting in it that’s not bindweed, but it’s too sticky and slightly prickly to pull out barehanded so I’ve not got as much on top of it. At least it’s not brambles, unusually I’ve not seen any of them so far this year. I also got some of the pots cleaned out, and Nicola’s tray ready to return to her, as Nicola has tomato plants for me again this year.

The aquilegia is flowering nicely, it’s doing much better now the big tree across the back fence has gone. The fuchsia I planted behind it several years ago is actually growing as well, having looked a bit stick like for years. I suspect I have to move the aquilegia at some point or it’ll get overshadowed again.
