I finished up clearing out the flowerbed I intend to replant! Including pulling out the shrub that died several years ago – which was bigger than I realised (foot for scale in the photo which was after I broke off the smaller branches), and will need sawn up before I can fit it in the bin. I do still have to dig over the bed tho, coz it’s full of stones & weed roots.

Spring seems to’ve properly arrived – the first geranium flower is out, and the California Lilac is in full bloom. It’s also the season where every time I go out I see more bindweed sprouting. Even if I just went out 5 minutes earlier, there’ll be some appeared in that five minutes. Annoying there’s some threaded through the honeysuckle which is hard to disentangle, I do keep pulling bits out tho. Some of which might be rooted in the drain the gutter runs into, so I maybe need to tidy up round that and make sure it’s actually draining.
